Individually sleeved cabling is a cosmetic upgrade that has become a structural one, because a stiff braided run holds its shape and stays where it is placed. This is the 6-pin PCIe version in red, 30 cm long and built in 18 AWG conductor, sized for a run from a power supply to a card in a normal case.

  1. Single sleeving versus a bundle

A bundled cable is one flat ribbon that goes where its shape allows. Individually sleeved conductors can be combed into a straight run and turned at a clean angle, which is why they look the way they do in build photographs. The visual difference is entirely in that ability to hold a shape.

  2. Thirty centimeters and where it reaches

That length suits a run from a power supply shroud up to a graphics card in a mid-tower, particularly with a modular supply mounted at the bottom. Measure your own route before ordering, since a cable that is slightly short cannot be persuaded and one that is much too long has to be hidden somewhere.

  3. Eighteen gauge conductor

AWG 18 is the standard size for PCIe power in this class and carries what a 6-pin connector is rated to deliver. Cable gauge is not somewhere to economize: undersized conductors run warm under load, and warm connectors are how power delivery problems begin.

  4. Check your power supply pinout first

Modular power supplies do not share a pinout even between models from one manufacturer. A cable that fits the socket physically can still be wired differently, and the consequences are severe. Confirm compatibility with your specific supply before connecting anything.
