Check price and buyThin strips are consumables. An M.2 drive uses one, a memory bank uses another, and a laptop heatpipe run will take a third before the job is done. This pack supplies two 120 x 20 mm strips of 0.5 mm GP-Extreme so that a build with more than one target does not stop halfway. Both are the standard 12 W/mK compound.
A motherboard with two or three M.2 slots needs a piece for each, and each shield expects its own pad rather than a shared one. Two strips cover a multi-drive build with material left for the next upgrade, which is usually sooner than planned.
At 0.5 mm the compound is soft and easy to stretch out of true when peeling the liner. Nobody gets every piece perfect, and a torn strip fitted anyway is a void under a chip. Having a second strip in the pack turns a spoiled cut into a shrug rather than a delay.
Both pieces here are the same 0.5 mm, but keeping one sealed lets you compare a fresh piece against one that has been in service if you ever need to judge whether an old pad has taken a set. A reference sample costs nothing when it comes in the same envelope.
Below half a millimeter a solid pad stops making sense, because the surfaces would be better served by a paste. This is the thinnest sheet in the GP-Extreme range for that reason, and where the gap is smaller still, a compound is the right tool rather than a thinner ribbon.
