Deep gaps use volume, and volume is what runs out mid-job. This pack puts two 120 x 20 mm strips of 3.0 mm GP-Ultimate in the same envelope, at the 15 W/mK rating that matters most when the thermal path is this long. It suits console work, compact builds and any assembly where a panel does the cooling.

  1. Enough depth for two panels or one done twice

A single 3 mm strip is one long run. Compact machines usually want two or three, because the shroud, the panel and the shield each meet the board somewhere different. The pack removes the arithmetic of whether the job fits in what you ordered.

  2. Thick material needs a sharp blade

A tired blade drags through deep filler rather than cutting it, leaving a torn face that will not seat flat. On a long piece that defect runs the whole length of the contact. Change the blade before starting, cut against a steel rule with the blade held vertical, and make one firm pass rather than several nervous ones.

  3. Thickness is not a substitute for measurement

A deep pad looks forgiving and is not. Oversized, it holds a shield off its posts and puts a bow in a thin panel. Undersized, it tilts and touches at one end. Measure the actual distance at the actual point of contact, then cut to it.

  4. Storing thick offcuts without ruining them

Keep offcuts flat and unweighted. Material at this depth takes a permanent impression from anything left resting on it, and a strip with a tool-shaped dent in it will not compress evenly across its face when it finally gets used.
