A single thin sheet is fine until you open the card and find memory on the front and a backplate on the reverse. This twin pack puts two 80 x 40 mm sheets of 0.5 mm GP-Extreme in the same envelope, which is the difference between finishing a job and ordering more material halfway through it. Both sheets carry the same 12 W/mK rating as the single.
Two sheets, one teardown
Thin material disappears faster than people expect. Memory packages on the front, a controller under the shroud, an M.2 drive that came off the board while you had the cooler apart: each of those wants a piece, and each piece needs a margin around the chip. Two 6,400 square millimeters of total area between them covers a card comfortably.
Keeping the second sheet sealed
There is no reason to unwrap both at once. Open one, cut what the job needs, and leave the other between its liners in the original packaging. This compound does not cure, so an unopened sheet is not on a clock, but it does pick up dust and lint from a bench and dust under a pad is a void waiting to happen.
A practice sheet is worth having
At 0.5 mm the material is delicate enough that a first attempt sometimes tears. Having a second sheet in the drawer changes how you approach the cut, because you can afford to try a shape, look at it against the cooler plate, and do it again properly rather than fitting something that is nearly right.
Same formulation as the single sheet
Nothing is diluted for the multipack. Both pieces are the standard GP-Extreme compound: non-curing, electrically non-conductive, non-corrosive, rated at 12 W/mK, and supplied at 0.5 mm between protective liners. The only thing that changes is how much of it arrives.
